Joan, Jody and family. Words can never reach as deep as meaning, but I am deeply sorry to hear that Jerry has passed and am even more sympathetic to your loss. Especially around the holidays. As you know, Rod passed on Christmas eve of 2019. I am beyond touched that Jerry included my dad in his obituary, which I know Jerry wrote himself. I know they are together in heaven sharing a drink and many memories to say the least. Dad (Rod) always held his friendship with Jerry very close to his heart and spoke of him to me often. He would update me of Jerry’s adventures, retirement and health regularly, to the point where I felt I knew Jerry, when sadly I think I only met him a handful of times. I am truly sorry for this profound loss for your family and am empathetic to the enormous hole this loss leaves in your hearts. Jerry was so important in my dads life and I will forever be grateful for that knowing the balance and joy Jerry brought. My thoughts, strength and love are with you and your family, Joan.
