Obituary of Kathleen McDoanld

Kay McDonald peacefully passed away on November 8, 2015 with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren by her side. Although it was emotional, her passing was a positive expression of love and family in support of a woman who has lived a treasured life. Kay’s legacy is one of smiles, songs and a tribute to family values. Kay was born in Saskatoon on July 7, 1926, she rode her bike across the Victoria Street Bridge to Saskatoon Tech. each day. At the age of 14, Kay met the man she would love until the day she died, Jim (predeceased). Nothing would make Kay happier than a visit or a phone call from one of her children or grandchildren. Kay provided rich memories for the family by way of songs. She knew a song for EVERY occasion. Kay lived a life of service and contributed to the community through several organizations including IOF, Shrine, Eastern Star, and the Friends Club. She loved statistics and sports. Even in hospital, she was the one who announced the score of the Rider game to the staff and family.
