Obituary of Joshua Casavant

Joshua (Yoshiya) Casavant, 24, was taken away from us Sunday, Nov 1st 2015 by injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Kelowna, British Columbia. Yoshiya was born July 3rd, 1991 in Quebec and made his way to Japan when he was starting to walk. During the years of growing up in Japan, Yoshiya found a love for sports, especially basketball. His team spirit was high, igniting the hearts of his fellow classmates who would always turn to him for guidance during competitions. He was so good, as a junior, the senior classes asked him to be on their basketball team. Later in years, Yoshiya followed his older brothers William, and Daniel to Canada when he was sixteen. Even though his English at the time wasn't that great, because of his character, Yoshiya had already touched the hearts of many and made a lot of friends. During highschool in Walter Murray, Saskatchewan, he was suggested by a teacher to try out carpentry. This opened a new door for Yoshiya, and a new love, and soon after started his career in construction. Yoshiya travelled across Saskatchewan for his career, making tons of friends along the way before settling himself in Kelowna, British Columbia. Yoshiya was a great person with a golden heart, touching everyone he met and leaving nothing but positive impressions. As a social butterfly, it didn't matter if he met you for the first time, he was always excited to meet you again, and again. It didn't matter how big his circle of friends was, he would always make room for one more. He is survived by his mother and father, Charles and Mariko Casavant. His older brothers, Daniel and William. His numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
