Vince was my mentor and close friend, we worked together as a team for 6 years before my family and I moved back to BC. We stayed connected, but moving away from him was difficult because he was a constant support in my life. I'm very thankful for having recently chatted with him, and forever thankful for the influence he had in my life. I miss our daily routine of getting coffee and breakfast together before work. I'll never forget his excitement when my son was born, or how much he was there to encourage me during those nerve-wracking moments with a newborn. He passed on so much wisdom to me from his experiences raising his sons and was always happy to answer my questions. He loved the butter tarts and treats in my lunch my wife would bake as much as I did and was always so happy to receive his own batch from her.
My family is shocked and heartbroken over the news of his passing. He will truly be missed. He was such a genuinely wonderful man to know.
"Solidarity, Vince, Solidarity." Thank you for taking the time to impact my life so greatly.
Your friend always, Mike
