My involvement with Ron, was always on the other end of the dance line, Ron the biggest and myself the smallest. The studios of Yevshan or Pavlychenko still ring in my ears; Roneee! Doneee! Those early years were forged in laughter and beautiful experiences, we taunted t each others dance moves, big as he was but light on his feet – he prisyadka’d his way through my memories as one big personality whose heart was even bigger.

Вічна йому пам'ять! My fond memories of Ron go back to performing in the Yevshan Ukrainian Folk Ballet Ensemble - very early days when Lusia Pavlychenko was the director, after her sister Nadia left for Toronto! Our 1967 Ottawa performance for the Queen - fun and outstanding! ( I was a young teen + early 20's dancers, like Ron, were my chaperones.) My mama was Olya Pawluk (married Jack Bazowski) Her parents were Anna (Bilous) and George Pawluk - early farm neighbors to Ron's parents, Bill & Anne. Loves lives on forever...in the memories and in the hearts of all whose lives have been touched by Ron. With Deepest Condolences. Beverley Ann Bazowski 306 241 9861

From Leo Piasta:
Condolences to the Trischuk family. I am sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. Ron was seen an older brother figure and a mentor to all the Mohyla/PFE Ukrainian Dancers in the late 1970s. He was always supportive, authentic and honest with his criticisms. Ron was always an amazing interpreter to emotions and uplifting personally as a good friend. He was always willing to help support personal endeavours and offer assistance to groups he was associated with.
Ron was one of the truest Canadian Ukrainian brothers that a person could have in Saskatchewan. May his memory be eternal.

From a new bass at S'toon Men's Chorus: I am happy to say that I had the pleasure of singing with Ron, though from the Baritone section of the choir at the time. I had the pleasure of getting Ron a comfortable stool when in concert at Grace-Westminster United Church. I knew he had a story to tell when he had that smile coming up! And he had a great smile too! For all of the Trischuk family, I am sorry for your loss. However, I think of Ron looking around Heaven right now to find out where the best view is situated! He seemed to me to be the quiet yet steady worker of whatever field he happened to be in. Rest in Peace, Ron.

I was sad to hear of Ron's passing. While we have been out of touch for many years, I have many wonderful memories of Ron from my years at Mohyla Institute and later to sharing a house with Ron (and several others) on Leslie Crescent while we were both at university.
Ron's interest in photography manifested itself in Mohyla. I and many other residents considered Ron as Mohyla's resident photographer. There was a room in the lower level of the institute which he converted into a dark room. Always a pleasure to visit him there and watch the process of film being developed. A few years ago I was taking a Ukrainian class at Mohyla and made a point of visiting what was then Ron's darkroom. This visit brought back wonderful memories.
While we were similar in age, I always looked to Ron for guidance and wisdom. He exhibited patience and didn't let matters get him riled.
And obviously, he made a great contribution to the Ukrainian community in Saskatchewan.
May his memory be eternal.
