Obituary of Allen Wallis Kent

KENT, Allen W.
July 10,1960 - October 30, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our cousin Allen W. Kent on October 30, 2021 in Saskatoon. Allen was born on July 10, 1960 in Saskatoon to Tom and Edna Kent of Radisson, Sask. They lived on the farm at Radisson until 1966 when his father passed away. Allen and his Mom then moved to Saskatoon to make their home.

After finishing school Allen got employment at Acklands assembling brake shoes. He stayed with the company until they closed the business. He found his "dream job" working at Venables where he stayed for 21 years! He loved every minute of each work day. Maynard and his staff were so kind and helpful to Allen over the years and he appreciated it so much. Allen would tell us all about his day and everyone that he worked with.

Even though life dealt Allen some challenges he learned to be very independent. He enjoyed making trips to the farm at Radisson to see how things were going. Allen loved to visit and kept in touch with many of us and always wanted to know how everyone in our family was doing. He was so kind and had a big heart. We will all remember his unique laugh!

Allen had a great memory for remembering people and delighted in running into someone he knew. Al watched the news daily and when talking to him he would fill you in on the latest news happenings.

Allen was predeceased by his Father Tom in 1966 and his Mother Edna in 1998. He is survived by several cousins.

A memorial service is pending with date to be announced.
