Obituary of Wayne Cairns
Wayne M. Cairns passed away on October 24, 2021 at the age of 64.
Wayne was born on February 21, 1957, in Summerside, PEI. Son of Hillus and Blanche Cairns. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lorette ‘Lori’; daughter, Felicia (Dave) Laberge; granddaughters, Presley, Brooklyn and Octavia; son-in-law, Wes Jackson; grandson, Chance; step-grandson, Tryin; sisters, Elaine (Noel) Potts and Grace (Joe) Tennina; brother, Donnie Cairns; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; and many friends.
Wayne was predeceased by his loving parents, Hillus and Blanche Cairns; daughter, Amber Jackson; in-laws, Bill and Nettie Slugoski; and sister-in-law, Josie Remple.
Wayne devoted his life to his wife, daughters, family, and friends. Wayne grew up in PEI. In his early years he moved to Flin Flon, Manitoba and worked for HBM&S Mine. It was in Flin Flon that Wayne met the love of his life, Lori (nee: Slugoski), and they got married in 1980. Together they made a move to Saskatoon, SK. where their family grew with the addition of their daughters, Felicia and Amber. Wayne worked at Patience Lake Potash Mine for 43 years as a Dredge Operator. Wayne’s favorite pass time was camping and fishing with family and he had a passion for music.
We will always remember Wayne in our thoughts and dreams until our journey in life brings us together in heaven.

A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at St. George's Senior Citizen's Center (1235 20th Street West / Saskatoon, SK.) on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
