To Richard's family, my condolences.
I went to school with Richard. whenever I saw him I would call out his nickname, "Chopper" and he would always turn around looking for the source.
I am away and will not be able to attend the services but I am thinking of Richard, mainly from his youth growing up in small-town Saskatchewan. He was always a pleasant, respectful person and we had good visits.
To all Richard's immediate family, and his siblings I wish I could be there to catch up with all the time that has passed, then until now. My memories of Richard will always be the common thread to all!

My deepest sympathy goes out to Linda and the kids and their families. Richard was one of a kind. Many hours were spent playing cards, canasta and hearts come to mind but many more games were played as well. Richard always finished his main course with his salad and he loved desert. My funniest memory is when the sea gull flew over us on the beach and left a deposit on his moustache. We laughed cause it was suppose to mean good luck but he did not feel that way. Linda and kids my heart and hugs are for you as you go thru this tough time. May your family memories guide you all through the tough days. RIP Richard. You will be missed by so many.

Richard was an amazingly kind and generous person who gave everything and expected nothing in return. We are so fortunate to have had him as one of our dearest friends for almost forty years. He has left a legacy of love in his family and friends and we will miss him dearly. We are sorry to have lost him so early and wish Linda and the family peace in this difficult time. Love from Jo Ann and Tony Wisminity
