Aunt Nellie , Where do I start , I spoke with you just a couple weeks ago when the Roughriders were going to play the Lions ,I told you we would be in Saskatoon in early September and it's nearly impossible to believe that you won't be there. Like a lot of people whenever I think of you it always brings a smile to my face , I've got so many stories about you and most of them involve mountains of food. But I also remember the early days on the farm in Chelan, especially the old house with the wood stove, the lanterns (because there was no power), churning butter , milking cows and picking stones in the field. Nothing tasted better than the freshly made bread and butter in the morning. Not easy days for you and your family but very memorable.
You are a very special person , my father ,Victor, your brother , always spoke of you very highly, you two seemed to have a deep bond that went back to early childhood
Condolences to the family, you will be missed

Dear Alison,Joanne, Marlene and Karen
When I think of recent memories of Auntie Nellie I can't help but smile. We had some great conversations about recipes, gardening and even covered politics. She had no trouble sharing her views which I loved about her!
I remember fondly as a child our family visiting the farm which I feel was often as our father loved Aunt Nellie's cooking and especially her creamed chicken.
I got the impression, right up until very recently her kitchen was her domain. The latest was that she needed a new blender or bread mixer which had finally given out. She ( and Alison ) were on a mission to find the exact brand that she had been using for "many" years and was discontinued.
Success! They found a gentleman that restored the very model she had her heart set on. She was thrilled!
Their hours of research had paid off :)
Will miss you forever Auntie Nellie
Love you so much
Connie
