Sincere condolences to the family of Lorne Richardson from Will and myself and on behalf of the Nutana Rotary Club. I really came to know Lorne through our connection to the Rotary Club of Saskatoon. Lorne was such a stalwart member and attended meetings as long as he was able. He was such a gentleman and a gentle man. He sent cards to members that were ill and to families of members who had passed for several years. He always gave praise to our local sports teams - especially the Huskies. I often played piano for services at Oliver Lodge and Lorne was there most afternoons sitting with Phylllis. And, we also met at Knox United Church when the Handbell Choir, Bronze Reflections, was invited to play in services there. He loved his community of Saskatoon and he loved his family and friends.
Lorne will be missed.

Our deepest sympathies to our good long-time neighbours Doug, Jocelyn and Ciara, Brennan and Galen, and to the entire Richardson family. We never met Lorne, but if his son and family are any indication of the kind of man he was, he was a person who left a legacy of kindness, integrity and compassion. Ninety-six isn't quite long enough, but we're certain it was well lived.

We are so sorry to hear the sad news of Lorne passing away...our deepest sympathies to Doug and the rest of the family. We remember Lorne and Phyllis and Doug and his brothers fondly as they were very helpful and supportive when we came to Saskatoon in 1971. Phylis was very fond of our new born daughter Sharmila and often babysat her , what a kind and lovely family.
May he rest in peace

I was truly saddened to hear of Lorne's recent passing, and at this time my heartfelt condolences go out to Doug and the rest of the family.
Having known Lorne for over 57 years, and as a co-worker for many of them, I still recall both the inherent decency and kindness, that he always showed in all of our personal interactions. His contribution to the community at large was also substantial and meaningful, and I know he will be remembered fondly by so many.................

Thank you Al for posting this picture, I believe of my sister’s retirement party...Velma Kinsman. Velma was also a long time co- worker of Lorne’s, at Midwest Litho. My sincere condolences to the Richardson family, Velma was so appreciative of a kind, caring “boss”. He was one-of-a-kind. Many fond memories.
