Sincere condolences Ron to you and your family on Shirley's passing. She was the ultimate lady, A gracious hostess , a talented homemaker and a warm and kind friend. She was so proud of all her grandchildren and no doubt loved them and her great grandchildren to bits. Her lasting legacy will be that love and the many memories you made together.
While I cannot attend the services be assured that my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Ron, Doug and Mike, my heartfelt condolences to you in the loss of your wife and mother. Praying for peace and comfort for you and your family. I will treasure my memories of Shirley; how she always came to visit Mom and Dad, bearing gifts of baked muffins and cookies. Her kindness will always be remembered. I hope and pray that our Lord brings you and your family peace during this time.

My wife and I met the Whiteside's back in 1959 when Ron came to Estevan with SaskTel. We each bought houses about a block and a half apart. Ron transferred to Saskatoon just before we moved there to a new job, wouldn't you know it our houses ended about a block and a half apart. Whiteside's moved again to a town house and because of health reasons we moved into a condo that happened to be about a block and a half away. We often had BBQ parties and travelled together, and of course enjoyed life in Kinsmen, When my wife passed away we bought a niche in the Columbarium only to find Ron had bought a niche in the same room about four feet away. Guess we will be close forever.
Your long time friend, Vic Walker

I’m so sorry to hear of Shirley’s passing. I have fond memories of Shirley from my own childhood when my parents, Vic snd Phyl Walker, would bring my sister Sandy and I to Grey Cup parties at Whiteside’s (where there was always great food), family ski trips, and many visits over the years. She was a very kind lady. Deepest condolences. Judy Walker

Shirley was so excited to share pictures of her great grandchildren, grandchildren and talk about them. She carried those pictures and shared them with great pride. I'm grateful to have had these moments with her. My condolences to Ron and the family. ((Hugs))
