So sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. I know he is a big reason why Tyler is a great man and treats Signe so beautifully. I was looking forward to many years of visiting and reading the obituary has shown me how much my husband Cory and Dale would have had to talk about. Cory’s career in TV News and Local television in Prince Albert would have meant for hours of great conversation. I wish I had gotten to know him. I am so sorry we are not in Saskatoon to pay tribute to this great man. Our best to you all Brenda, Tyler, Signe, and Corey at this hard time.

I was so very sorry to hear of Dale‘s passing. I have many great memories of Dale coming to the Global television studios to do his movie reviews on my show “Colleen and Company”. He always had a somewhat unique take on every movie he reviewed, and his contribution to the show over those years was much appreciated. Dale was always professional, always on time (something highly desirable in guests on live tv!) and very serious when reviewing movies,… but there were lots of laughs. Sometimes the laughter was because of a funny movie, or some rye comment Dale made about the movie, and other times because for many of the years that Dale was a regular Friday guest on my show, we were live, and lots of funny things can happen with live TV that you can’t predict. Dale always rolled well with anything that happened, handling it with that dry sense of humor. It’s hard to believe how many years have gone by, but hearing this news brought back a flood of memories of good times, and now much sadness in thinking that Dale has passed far too soon.
I would very much like to attend the funeral, but I’m recovering from surgery last week and I’m not sure if I will be well enough to attend. I will certainly, at the very least, be there in spirit. My sincerest condolences to Dale‘s family. I know from things he told me in brief personal conversations in the green room over the years how important his family was to him. He certainly was an important part of our “TV family” on “Colleen and Company” for many years.
With my deepest sympathies,
Colleen Wilson

Brenda, Corey, Tyler and Signe, Dale was a larger than life person and personality. He never failed to make us laugh. And when he laughed it was totally infectious. And could he BBQ! Dale cooked the best hamburgers! Our days together as “the kids” were growing up are the fondest memories. We’re so glad we were together again a few weeks ago at the wedding. Sending you all much love..

So sorry for your loss. Our friendship spanned more than 45 years. Though we had taken different paths we continued to stay connected over the years sharing stories about our families, travels, accomplishments and memories of the past. Dale was my first roommate and I remember listening to music while developing pictures in a darkroom in our apartment, fun times we had at Jackfish Lake and the coffee with friends at Brother's Two. Dale was always passionate about music, writing and photography. He will certainly be missed.
Our thoughts are with you.
