Obituary of Sheri Ann Hubelit
Sheri Hubelit
June 21st 1970 – May 30th 2021
It is with profound sadness and heartache we announce the passing of Sheri Ann Hubelit. Sheri was born in Regina, Saskatchewan along with her twin brother to parents Johnny and Violet Hubelit. She was the fifth born in a family of six children, as well as the youngest daughter. From the beginning, Sheri was brilliant, funny, kind, courageous, free spirited and independent. Growing up she was always following her brothers around, and wanting to be a part of games or trouble they were getting into. Her elementary school years split between MJ Coldwell, and Argyle Elementary, and she attended Sheldon Williams for high school in Regina. Whether she was at school or church, Sheri’s warm presence gravitated people towards her, and she made many friends wherever she went. She was extremely loyal to her loved ones, and was the kind of person to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Sheri fervently loved cooking, and was exceptionally talented at it. With her natural flair of taking care of others, she would cook for friends and family and eagerly show off her culinary skills.
Sheri was always generous and loving to those around her, especially to her two children, a daughter Brittany, and a son Noah. As a stay at home mom, she dedicated her life to taking care of her kids, giving her all to make sure they have the best life she could provide. When she wasn’t at home, she loved to do volunteer work. Whether she was volunteering at her church, Meals on Wheels, or Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, she was always busying herself to help others. Sheri highly valued education, and with a couple years of university behind her, she had been enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan before she got sick.
Sheri throughout her life has persevered and proven her resilience time and time again, and fought a valiant battle with brain cancer for 2.5 years. Sheri will always be remembered by her family and friends for her wonderful smile, compassionate nature, thoughtfulness, altruism, and graciousness.
Sheri is survived by her mother Violet Hubelit; siblings Wendy Hubelit, Darrell Hubelit, John Hubelit, Monty Hubelit, and twin brother Martin Hubelit. As well as her children Brittany Hubelit and Noah Hubelit; and many loving cousins she was close to. She was predeceased by her grandparents Otto and Ida Ardnt, John and Irene Hubelit, and her father Johnny Hubelit.
