My sincere condolence to the family of my dear Aunt and Godmother. She had a large family of her own but always remembered my birthday with a card or phone call! Our last visit with her was on her 99th birthday while she was at the Extendicare Home. We had a wonderful visit with her and my cousins, not knowing it would be our last visit due to the pandemic that stopped all visitation in care homes. She was loved and we will cherish our memories of her.

My sympathy to the family, Aunt Florence was my last great aunt, thus ends an era. Always enjoyed our visits and was hard not being able to visit the past 15 months. I will always remember the great visits we had both on the farm and in the city.
Rest in peace, after a life well lived. Terry, Linda and family, Judy, Jack and family.

To Vern, Joyce, Elvira, Myrna & Gloria
I could have added my name to the list of all of you cousins, as your Mom treated me like one of the family. I remember all of the summers that I spent with all of you on the farm. In particular, my 'big brother' Vern, showed me how to drive the old blue Fordson tractor. What he didn't tell me was when pulling a hay wagon behind, go through the gate and make sure wagon is also through before turning. After pulling down 3 or 4 fence posts, he finally caught my attention to stop. Uncle Eddie and Vern had to laugh, even though they were a bit upset with me. Aunt Florence knew I was upset, and in her calming manner, she told me not to worry about it, as the fence can be fixed.
Marg and I always stopped in to spend an hour or two with her when we visited Saskatoon - she was on our 'must do' list.
Unfortunately, with the Covid-19, our visits ended before we had a chance to say goodbye.
We will always remember Aunt Florence and the many great visits that we had in her condo. She will be missed and now can rejoin Uncle Eddie, Leonard, Sandra & Rita.
God Bless you all.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Florence. I have beautiful memories of Aunt Florence and will treasure each and every one of them. I remember the last time I visited Aunt Florence, she told me that she wanted to live to be 100 years, and that she did. She was always so happy and cheerful and when I did see her she would brighten my day My family would visit her and Uncle Eddie and my cousins on their farm when we were young. We loved going there. Being city kids there was nothing better than being on the farm. She always had a beautiful meal for us and we couldn't wait to come back again to see them and to play with our cousins. When she moved into Primrose Chateau I asked how she liked it there, she said that she wished she would have moved there a long time. She said it was nice that someone else cooked for her and cleaned her room. I told her that she deserved to be waited on and she just smiled that precious smile of hers. When my sister, Bev and I visited her at Primrose Chateau, we found out that she was an artist. We loved all her pictures that she drew and painted. This was something we did not know and I am glad that we found out as this makes her even more special. I hope that all the memories her family has of her will be forever kept within their hearts, I know they will be with me forever in my heart.

The Rose Beyond the Wall
Near shady wall a rose once grew,
budded and blossomed in God's free light,
watered and fed by morning dew,
shedding its sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
slowly rising to loftier height,
it came to a crevice in the wall
through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
with never a thought of fear or pride
It followed the light through the crevice's length
and unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
were found the same as they were before.
And it lost itself in beauties new,
breathing its fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
and make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive --
The rose still grows beyond the wall.
Scattered fragrance far and wide
just as it did in days of yore,
just as it did on the other side
just as it will forevermore.
-- From the writings of A.L. Frink
Special thanks to Elly & Jen
for the countless number of hours
spent by her side during these
difficult times. For that we owe
an enormous debt of gratitude
to both of you!
