With a gaze straight into the eyes and a wry lift of the eyebrow, connection and meaning were often shared. A bright star to many, who was too humble to know how central she was and remains.

dearest Granny! I am full of gratitude for all the love and joy you shared with me and with my sweet girls over so many years. I love you forever and will keep your spirit alive in each memory I feel deeply, in each story I share of you, your gifts, and our good times together! Here are some pics from a short but very special visit to Saskatoon in 2012, with my girls, your great granddaughters Raena and Alex, As with all our visits with you there was laughter, stories over cups of tea, snuggles (we still snuggle under your Granny Square rainbow quilt), books, outside time (hide and go seek and berry picking at Berry Barn - the girls still remember how you hid in the bushes and played alongside them with giggles), and cookies! always cookies! we bake the same recipes in your honour, and when we nibble on them the stories and memories flow and we are together again. Love you forever Granny! We will always be connected!

It has been years since we’ve had contact with each other but one of my strongest memories of your folks was that they were always such gracious hosts whether at their home in the city or at Riverside Estates. When I saw your father’s obituary, it was the morning of his funeral service, a Tuesday, as I recall but I had an appointment when the service was going to be held. I still have George’s obituary tucked in local history book. Also when we pass the Boychuk offices on 8th, I am reminded that your father worked there at one time.
With sadness for you three siblings, I also think of pleasant, memorable times with you ‘kids’: Scott’s entertaining antics, Wendy’s pumpkin rum and Robb’s smoked fish, tours to remote sites and watching, over a half century ago, the moon landing at their place in Tofino.
Hoping that your good memories of your folks makes it easier to overcome your grief,
Bob Sigstad

thank you for sharing these memories of my grandparents Bob! I am Robb's eldest daughter, living on the west coast under that very same moon-lit sky and remembering the prairie skies we played under with Granny Marion and Grampa George with so much gratitude! ---- Christy
