My deepest sympathy to each of you Grace's family.
Grace was such an amazing pianist. She would gladly accompany my dad as he played the violin and she the piano. It was always a fun time when she would come to my parents home for a visit especially at chiristmas and play the so familiar German Christmas carols. I also recall that she never needed notes or books as she could often play from memory those now forgotten carols. She was also a very dedicated pianist to the choir at First Mennonite Church for many years. Even those last years when it was difficult for her to do the stairs to the piano . She was also one of the few people that could play the organ in the church sanctuary.
Not only do I remember your mom but your Dad Henry officiated at my wedding in the "80's. Both your parents were a large part of the history of First Mennonite Church.. Your mom will always be with you, in your hearts, in your memories..

We were saddened to learn of Grace's death. She was such a gentle woman, with a ready smile. Our two daughters, Susan and Carol, took piano lessons from her for a few years. Grace was always encouraging, giving support and gentle correction as needed. They enjoyed their time with her.
Later, she would always greet me at church with a warm smile and handshake.
May your memories of your mother bring you comfort and peace.
Sincerely,
Paula Drury
