Glenn / Wanda Konkin and family posted a condolence

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Auntie Helen and will miss her caring and gentle soul. She spread her wingtips and absorbed the colours of life and was very generous and rich when it came to giving love for one and all. To help and teach was but a drop in an ocean of her abilities and love that she shared without limitataions.
The times spent making dozens upon dozens of varenikyi and pyroshkyi with Wanda whom she took under her wing when her mother became ill, to her famous deviled eggs at all family functions that we held are but a few of the cascading memories that present themselves.
Life is not measured by the numbers of breaths we take ...but by the moments that take our breath away. Aunties passing has left us without a breath for a moment...but when you recall those times that her presence or word touched your life, those are the times that will continue to take your breath away and bring a thoughtful tear or smile to ones heart. As long as we have memories in our heart, Auntie Helen will never be forgotten. The clock of life is wound but once and no person has the power to tell just when the hands will stop, at late or early hour. Now is the only time you own! Live, love, toil with a purpose, place no faith in tomorrow, for the clock may then be still. Your wings were ready Auntie, but our hearts were not. We may only take solace in knowing that when we look to the heavenly sky that there is a star for everyones soul such as yours.

Auntie Helens' gentle demeanour touched all those who knew her,
Remembering her beautiful handiwork and many hours she spent at her hobby of tatting.
Remembering her patience as she taught me the skills of Pyrizhky making. A precious memory I will always cherish.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say,
"I used everything you gave me".
I will miss you, Auntie Helen.
