Wanda, Amanda and Sarah - Jim's passing was not only a loss for his family but also for his many friends. I always enjoyed our neighborly gatherings and other shared adventures. Jim was a special guy and always a conscientious thinker, learner, doer and a close compatriot.

Jim and Wanda were wonderful neighbours for many years. We remember Jim's booming voice during many visits over the back fence and his touching devotion to his daughters. One memory that stands out is Jim carrying bundles of shingles up our very tall ladder enthusiastically and seemingly tirelessly when we shingled our house. Thinking of Wanda, Amanda and Sarah during this profoundly sad time.

We are very saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Our deep condolences to you Wanda, and your family. Jim was a bright, caring friend and we will miss chatting with him at social gatherings and enjoying his warmth, ready smile, intelligence and great humour. As Ruth's father would say, "he was one of the good ones" and we feel honoured that he touched our lives.

Jim was without a doubt the most extraordinary man I’ve ever had the honour and pleasure of knowing. He was a central player in many of the best moments of my life. Not only was Jim the best man at my wedding, but he was also the best man in every room he ever entered. I loved him like a brother and I will miss him forever.

Jim and I would drive around in his 1930 Ford with the heat on, a hole in the floor with a flap to close and sparks of burning rust flying through off the hot manifold. I have not seen him since 1963 and always hoped I would. He is missed.

On the Banman side of the family, we had 2 Uncle Jim's. I, and my sublings and cousins always called him Uncle Jim-bo. I remember meeting him when my family moved back to Canada from Germany. He had long hair, a suede fringe jacket, and a leather beaded "man purse" and was wearing sandals with his bell bottom jeans. Seriously the coolest uncle!
To my amazing Aunt Wanda, and their daughters Amanda and Sarah my deepest sympathy for the struggle you are facing. I hope you get through this while still remembering all the joy that he brought each of you.
Love

Wanda, Sarah and Amanda -
So sorry to hear this sad news. I have so many fond memories of Jim... I always loved going over to Wanda and Jim's to babysit the girls - the house was warm, loving and had lots of good snacks :) Much good conversations with Jim when he and Wanda returned home from their night out.
Thinking of you all during this really hard time. xoxoxoo

Jim’s love for genealogy is so appreciated. I’ll never forget him taking us as children to the Jesberger farm and researching the gravesites of our late ancestors to pay respect. Sending you love and comfort during this difficult time Wanda, Sarah, Amanda, Delores and Sandy! Xo

Condolences to Jim' s family, who are much loved cousins in the Peter and Mary Banman clan. Bob an I have fond memories of Jim and family at the annual September long weekend get together. Jim was so in love with being a Grandpa, you could tell that family was the most important thing to him. Ava and Robbie always had
Granddad to watch over them and play with them.
