Cathy, Gord and Andrea, may your memories give you and your families strength and peace during this time of loss. I have fond memories of Jim being a student with you at John Lake, as your neighbour across the alley from Mills Cres.), from St. Martin's Church and from teaching in the S'toon public school system. Most recently I enjoyed many visits with Jim as he became a table mate of my dad's, Derek Hill, upon arriving at the Convalescent Home. It was lovely to catch up with him and hear so many stories and his amazing historical knowledge. My dad was very happy to have him as a' neighbour' once again. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and my dad would to share his sympathies with you.

Never met him but Gord is my brother in law. I heard about him for years. Always a good story about a kind father, husband, father in law to my sister Franci and grandfather. My nieces were blessed. May his memory always make you smile. Gord and siblings, you were very lucky, he lived a long life. I wish I met him although I feel like I did. God bless.

Remembering Jim’s compassion and sense of justice from my time ministering at St. Martin’s. He was a good conversationalist and very supportive of the outreach work of the church. He bore his illness with dignity. May his family find comfort remembering his gentle spirit. - (Rev) Brian Walton

It is with sadness I heard of Jim's death. He was my Dad's cousin and we got to know him through family gatherings. I was always delighted to talk to Jim, he was interested in virtually everything so we talked about virtually everything–politics, theology, even New Testament Greek. He was always kind and generous. He will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. I taught with Jim at Princess Alexandra community school back in the 1980s. Jim has always held a special place in my heart because of his kindness toward everyone he met. Jim always had a smile and a supportive word for all. He will be greatly missed and always loved.
