Our deepest condolences to the Forsyth family on the passing of your dear son and brother, Neil. We only met Neil a few times through our visits with Gregg and Sasha, but it didn't take many visits to know what a sincere and delightful young man he was. It's obvious that he loved his family and he loved life.

My fondest memory of Neil was when he played hockey with our team. When he first started he would make his way out the gate and hang on to the boards and watch the play, but by the end of the season he could skate out to center ice on his own. I’ll never forget how proud he was when we won a tournament and he got his medal - he was so thrilled to get that. He would say Hi Coach, every time he saw me for years after that . To his family - it was a pleasure to know him - great smile

So sorry to hear from Ron & Maureen about Neil's death. He sounds like a very special young man. It was so good to be able to watch his funeral on the computer. It felt like we got to know him a bit. His loss will leave a hole in your family. It is hard for those of us who have not experienced a similar loss to understand. We wish you comfort and peace. We know that grieving is the price we pay for deep love. Take care, Joan and Al

I send my most heartfelt condolences to you and your family. As I look at the picture you have chosen for Neil this day, so many memories flood into my heart. I would like to share a few to let you know your Neil was special to a lot of people. In my efforts to try to teach Neil a little of this or that, in the end it was he who taught me much more that I could have ever imagined. He taught me that ..yes, life can be a challenge, but that does not mean the challenges have to decide how you live. Take each day and make it fresh. Enjoy each day for what it brings you. Neil LOVED life. I remember the walks home from the primary school with Neil toddling beside me. I remember the day he got his splints...it was a heart breaking time for us as we knew he was hurting, but he took it as freedom to walk! He worked so hard. I remember the days we would see Neil jump on his 3 wheeler and cruise down to the Turbo Gas Station and how proud he was to be doing such an important job. Being the greeter was in deed an important job. He never failed to ask about your day. I loved seeing him at the hockey rink and baseball diamonds...either with his buddies, especially Russel..or making new buddies winning everyone over with his infectious grin! I loved sharing in his young life - all of us living on 4th street loved your Neil - and he would have it no other way!I hope that in sharing a few memories of your boy, you will find peace in your broken hearts and an understanding that Neil was special to an awful lot of us! We too share this grief and want you to know - you are not alone on this painful journey. May Neil rest in peace. Janet Delainey

Hey buddy. I was so lucky to have you as a friend growing up. The things you take for granted sometimes don’t hurt until they’re gone. What anyone who knew you wouldn’t give to once more see you riding your bike around, saying Hey Buddy, and smiling with a Doctor Pepper. Even snoring so loud nobody can fall asleep at a sleepover...who cares they weren’t meant for sleeping anyway, you just made it better. You are probably the most remarkable citizen in the history of Martensville, and Im honoured to have graduated with you. I wish I could have been around more to see you since we grew up. To Quinn and the rest of your family I’m so sorry Neil is gone, but so happy to have had him in my life.

We are so sorry for your loss of a dear son and brother. When we ran the Turbo gas station, Neil was always a smiling presence, sitting by the door and exchanging greetings with all the customers as they came in. He was our original - and only- greeter over the years. We remember him riding his 3 wheeled bike all around town; everyone knew him; he was always cheerful and friendly. Carolyn worked with Neil for a bit at Valley Manor and remember that time with great fondness. You will miss him and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim and Carolyn Stone

I have such warm memories of Neil from when I first met him at Interaction Preschool. He seemed such an old soul even at that age, so attentive to others. I remember a special visit to the family sailboat with our baby daughter. He was excited to see us but, with equanimity, felt it necessary to point out “Wayne, your baby is saying waah”.
Neil brought joy and laughter to me for sure and clearly to those around him. I am very grateful for the memory of his enthusiasm, his keen engagement. I met Neil and his family in my early days as a parent and was and am grateful for the beautiful model Neil and his parents set.
I'm sorry not to be able to attend the live stream of his funeral.

Sending my condolences to the Forsyth family in this time of sadness.
My favourite memories of Neil is the times he would spend visiting at our house after school and in the summer. My grandfather and Neil got along especially well. Grandpa was never very good at telling jokes... always missing the punchline or forgetting where the joke was going... but without fail, Neil would laugh hysterically and grandpa would start over with a new one.
When my grandpa passed away, Neil was the first one of my friends to stop by and offer support and make sure I was okay.
Neil holds a special place in my heart and will be missed.

I remember Neil riding all over town visiting businesses and chatting up a storm, everyone knew him.
He used to come into the Sports Page where I waitressed, he would sit at the bar have a pop and chat with me while I worked.
Back in the mid 90's l cut hair and had a small set up in my parents basement, Neil would ride his bike over just about every week (with a $10 bill in his hand) to try and get a hair cut lol, his hair never had a chance to grow but I think he just liked to come and visit.
I lost touch with Neil after I moved to Saskatoon but I never forgot about him, sorry for your loss...RIP Neil

Me and Neil had a special bond. Felt like I knew him my whole life. From grade school, to playing hockey with Quinn, Neil was always there. When I worked at pizza place Neil used to beat me to work after school so he could sit in chair and tell me and cliff that there was a customer. Then Thunder hockey games, to me buying Neil a pop at the bar every time we were there together. The Town of martensville should feel honoured to have had such a great person as Neil as a staple in there community for so long. No matter Neil and his families struggles throughout there life they all shown such happiness at all times. Much respect. May Neil RIP
To one of my best friends “Crazy Legs” I will miss you
