We wish to extend our sincere condolences to Lorna's family. Alison and I had known Lorna for a long time having met through her brother Don at University. We hope you can obtain some consolation from the homily given at her service at STM .It was a very fitting tribute.

To Lorna's family, please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of your mother. May you find comfort in knowing that the one you loved so much is now peacefully at rest with God.
We viewed the Mass of Christian Burial, Ron's words were so comforting and complimentary of the beautiful mother Lorna was. May all the wonderful memories of your mother's love be with you and comfort you.
If not for Covid, we would have been with you for the celebration of the life of a special person.

When we moved to Cambridge Crescent in 1968 we found ourselves in a convivial enclave of genial neighbors: Opsahls, Logsdails and Heywoods across the street and on our side Symchychs, Machibrodas, Nikiforuks and the Stacks. New Years Days back then Marg and I had gregarious egg nog parties which included all of this lively crew. Sadly most are gone and now dear Lorna has joined them. John departed all to early, but Lorna courageously endured raising her large family to become successful citizens. As Father Griffin in her funeral service noted, hers was a practical nature which indeed was likely how she was able to prevail in raising such a good family. She has gone to her deserved heavenly reward.

We would like to express our loving sympathy to the entire Stack family in the passing of Lorna. She took so much delight in her family, and will be sadly missed. May you lean into the love and comfort of our Lord and also into the assurance of Lorna’s faith, and her delight into being re-united with her husband and daughter.
With love and prayers, Dwayne and Cathy Richman

To all Stack's and Kerrs I offer my sincerest condolences on the death of Lorna, especially since it follows hard upon her brother's death. I knew Lorna well when we were students at STM and spent many pleasant hours listening to symphonic music in the music room.
Perhaps my best memory of her husband, John, was when we were both in the Newman Club;s production of Macbeth in 1959. John played Macbeth and I was a servant. At one point I tell Macbeth that Birnam Wood is moving to Dunsinanne. John grabbed me by the neck, shouted "The devil damn thee black!" and threw me across the stage with such ferocity, that even Lorna sympathized with me. Many years later I was honored that John and Anne DeCoteau (our Lady Macbeth),came to my production of Macbeth at Holy Cross. John and Anne both marveled at our production and claimed it was better than the one we were in. I think I was then able to forgive John for his assault of my body so many years ago.
Children, my former students, remember always that you come from great stock and always remember them.
