Jim: It was with a great sadness that I learned about Jane's passing. Her suffering was so unfair. I remember Jane, from few time that we met, as kind, polite, always smiling woman. She was also very accomplished professionally, and wife and mother, who will be missed by her family.

So very sorry that Jane had to get this disease. I remember meeting her at least once when Jim, Jane and others of the MacKay family stopped by and took me with them to Gunn's Hill on a cheese buying expedition. We had a great time. A good memory of Jane, a friendly and pleasant person. Thank you for sharing the details of her life. She was indeed a special person to you all and you to her as well.

Dear Jim, Kelli and Jennifer,
I have fond memories of Jane from our book club group. Her knowledge of books was impressive! Jane's quiet, easy demeaner was always present and appreciated. She will be missed. My deepest sympathies.

Dave and I had the pleasure of getting to know both Jane and Jim when we spent a week with them along with Perry and Joyce in Florida many years ago. We had a lot of laughs and were saddened when we heard of her diagnosis. We are sending our condolences to Jim and his girls and the rest of the family.

Jim, my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I remember the first time I met you and Jane. She held herself with such a quiet strength, and with gentleness and grace too. My life has been richer by knowing the two of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

What a wonderful co-worker Jane was throughout our time at what was then the provincial Department of Energy and Mines! She was a thorough analyst, with a great talent for putting together clearly-written documents. Her modest and soft-spoken manner endeared her to everyone who interacted with her. She was kind and considerate of those around her. Her intelligence was obvious to all. The world needs more Jane Forsters.
