Father John brought a gentle love to all he knew. He loved his family and always made time for nieces and nephews. Over the years he has developed special relationships with so many of us and we will not forget his kindness, love and support.

Uncle/Father John brought much to this world. Summer days at his Peace River ranch were the most joyful and peaceful times of my childhood. He shared his wisdom of horses and nature in quiet moments forever remembered. His horses Tranquility and Cheyanne mirrored his steadfast, calm and caring nature. With much patience, good humor, time and space he taught us how to ride horses, and more importantly, how to treat the horses with care and respect. When he said I had ‘light hands’ for reining the horse it was high praise; a compliment never forgotten.
I was surprised when he traded in his beat up, misshapen brown cowboy hat for the priest’s vestments. (I was happy he kept his cowboy boots.) In our adulthood Father John’s presence became even more important. He added significance and joy to family celebrations and brought comfort during difficult times.
His unfailing kindness, gentle humor, generosity and spiritual guidance made such a difference to so many; words can’t express the influence he had. He will be missed. I believe his spirit is with us and am grateful.

I remember Father John fondly. He prayed for my family and I when we needed it most. He was a faithful servant of God. Peace.
