It’s hard to believe a vivacious woman like Fae is with the Lord. I met Fae at our gentle aqua swimming class and I became instantly drawn to her. Fae and I had many long visits with each other and many laughs. Fae was an interesting woman and she never ran out of stories of her past. She was also interested in my growing up years and my years as a child welfare social worker. We shared many good visits and I developed a great friendship with her. I met Fae’s family and husband Mack and I was impressed at the loving relationships she had with her husband and kids, grandkids etc. My thoughts and prayers are with Fae’s family at this very sad time. May Fae’s beautiful soul Rest In Peace and rise in Glory.

Fae and I met while I was doing genealogical research on the Shepard family through a posting on the internet by David. Mac and I are distant cousins. We invited them to our home in Washington State on their way back from Arizona, sight-unseen. Who knew whether we, or they, were serial killers and it was a trap! Fae was an instant life-long friend, a talent that she possessed. John and I had the privilege of visiting them in their home in Saskatoon for their 50th anniversary and Mac and Fae, Lana and Gae made our 50th anniversary memorable by coming to Washington State to celebrate with us. Happy, happy memories of fun times with wonderful people.
A feet-on-the-ground, no-nonsense kind of woman, Fae enjoyed the "little" things in life that are the backbone of happiness: her music, her stories of her childhood days, her droll humorous outlook on life, her unconditional acceptance of the people around her, and the love and support she always gave her extended family and friends. Her care is evident in the beautiful children she raised and the love she left behind her.
Our condolences go to Mac and her family but we are so grateful for the cherished memories you have of this remarkable woman who was a true individual among people.

My adopted family....I remember all the fun and laughter shared with Fae....the Scrabble games we played, evening after evening. How we shared so much with Lana and Gaye....birthdays, silly jokes...Fae I will miss you but I know you are Somewhere Over the Rainbow and I’ll always cherish our friendship and your always sensible reactions to my shenanigans. Love you to the moon and back.
