So many months later, I learn of my very good Sask Baseball buddy. He was always so kind, and loved being at our SBA meetings in Regina or at a ball game somewhere. When I hear Melville, I think of your good and kind dad, and the friendship we enjoyed in baseball. Dennis Korte, Humboldt.

I very sorry to hear of the passing of Roger "Big Rog".
He taught me how to handle the "Rail Road Royalty" when I first started
working at CN telecomm in 1973.His humour and great wit help me thru the stressful
new job period. He gave me the correct attitude for dealing with customers ( bad and good). He also always cleaned my tool box out of spare parts every time I visited Melville ......(he hate ordering paper work).
Roger, Bill, Genny and Lawrence made the Melville office a wonderful place to
work. Coffee breaks were legendary for Roger's stories and antics.
He was a great "Good Guy"

My favorite memory of my brother Roger is when I visited him and Marie at Lac St. Denis shortly after they married. I had never seen him so happy and proud. To say he was walking on clouds would be an understatement. Marie, you made him so happy.
Thank you, Peter

One of My favourite memories was whenever Roger was in Elkhorn visiting he always came to watch our ball team, which my dad was coaching. We got to the tournament and found us short a player, so Earl says Roger you may have to play and he laughed and says well if you can find me a pair of 13 spikes I’ll play, Earl goes over the the opposition a guess what they had some so Roger played all day tournament and we won it!!

My condolences to the Nowlan family on the passing of Roger. I met Roger in 1976 when I came to work at the CNT office in Melville, his sense of humor made work a fun place. I still remember many of his funny stories and smile.
Rest in piece, my friend.

We would go to Roger and Marie’s (know by me as Papa and Nana) house for Christmas on multiple occasions. Roger had a miniature wooden basketball launcher that along with some of the other the other grandchildren, I would play with for hours while visiting with family. A young kid at the time, I remember listening to stories about Roger’s life while seeing how many shots I could make in a row. It’s funny how those little memories stick with you and become so meaningful years down the road. Family was everything to Roger, and by family he will be missed.
