JUNE CORRINE (CAMPBELL) BALCAEN
June 27, 1927 - May 27, 2020

On May 27, 2020 the world experienced a huge loss - our beautiful, amazing Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma left us. She would have been 93 next month in June but is now spending it with Joseph, her husband of 60
years - reunited in heaven. Mourning her & celebrating her life are daughters Leslie (San Diego), Christie (Brett) San Francisco, Sean (Jeannie) Riley & Reese (Huntington Beach); Theresa - Tara, Mackenzie & Maddox (Calgary), Mindy (Jonas) Holt & Elin - Foothills; Denise - Orion (Arielle) Elijah & Charleigh, Oliver (Angie) & Ashton (Saskatoon); Gail - Vanito (Carley) Kaius & Madelyn (Calgary); Janine - Jason (Zita) Ryanne & Andy & her loving, attentive Son Allan - all of Saskatoon. She was born in Saskatoon in 1927 & graduated from Caswell Hill School. She always spoke fondly of her participation in the choir at St.Thomas-Wesley Church. Upon marrying Joesph August 31, 1946 they headed to Niagara Falls where she worked as a telephone switchboard operator. Later, after she & Joe returned to Saskatoon, Western Grocers employed her for several years.Throughout her life she was known as a woman with great pride & a great love for her family that even the grand children & great grandchildren felt. Always an extremely positive person, she always had a smile on her face & a twinkle in her eyes particularly when she saw her family. An opportunity was never missed to share how proud she was of all of us & she was always our biggest Cheerleader! Her tenacity, strength, courage, gentle manner & graciousness was greatly admired & carries on through the family that share many happy memories. She took particular delight in puttering in her yard & in being able to trace her Scottish lineage back to Queen Victoria. Her final years saw her being cared for by the wonderful staff at Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon. To say she will be greatly missed is a huge understatement. Donations in June’s memory may be made to Sherbrooke Community Centre.
