Wally , Anne and families- my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom and Baba. She was a lovely, welcoming lady with a great sense of humour. I enjoyed our short visits when your family would visit at Krydor and especially when she lived at the lodge in Blaine Lake. I still share one of her jokes. Apparently my sister Jean was her flower girl and also sends her condolences. Thinking of you at this time. Vichnaya Payat.

Wally, Judy, Ann and Family:
I send to one and all my sincerest sympathy. I remember my visits to your farm with my Dad and Mom, Marcel and Theresa and the wonderful hospitality that was afforded us. Your folks were such friendly and welcoming people. I also remember after they moved to town, meeting with them on many occasions. Your Mom always so jovial, always smiling. May good memories of happier days help to ease your burden of sorrow.

Baba, I will miss your excitement when family walked into the room, your insistence to eat even when my stomach was full, and your strong hands when you’d give me a sorrowful goodbye hug. You cared so much. You were a special—and strong—woman who I know, without a doubt, will look down from wherever you are now and watch with a smile at your family who loved you dearly. You will be sorely missed, rest well baba.

be a soft and peaceful one”

A Tribute to Mom and loving Baba
Who was this woman, strong and bold
Her love of family never grew old
She worked tirelessly and took so much pride,
In her children and grandchildren until she died.
You would find her in any given day,
In her garden or kitchen come what may.
The delicious aroma and smell from her kitchen,
the sound of banging pots and pans,
Huge meals of perogies, cabbage rolls and ham.
She loved the visits from us and especially her grandchildren too,
If we brought her a gift, she’d give it back to you.
“(I don’t need nothing she would say, I have everything I need, come sit down at the table and EAT, EAT, EAT!
Oh Baba dear our tummies are full,
When we left their home our car was full - a years supply no doubt her goal!
She became ill with dementia and her memories of us faded and were no more.
On one of our visits with her, she took Wally’s hand smiled and said,
“(I don’t know you, but I think —-you’re a nice man)”,
As she sat and rested on her bed.

I remember going to see Baba with my dad when I was younger, and she gave me a little red dog. I still have the dog on my dresser, and I will always cherish and remember the time I spent with Baba. I’m sad that I didn’t get to spend more time with her and get know her more❤️

The best memories I have of my Baba is that everytime I seen her she always grab my cheeks and say look at you corey corey corey(in a Ukrainian accent) then squeeze our faces together and her glasses would press into my cheek, then she’d tell me to shave. We would eat perogies And she’d cook her famous white meat chicken till I couldn’t eat anymore then say eat corey eat(in a Ukrainian accent) She always made sure I took perogies home, flannel sheets, pillow cases and snuck a $50 bill into my pocket. She always just stared at me smiling, I’d ask her what are you staring at and she’d always reply I dont know corey with a huge smile. I’ll never forget her face or smile, she had such a big heart I will miss her so much ❤️❤️

What I remember most about my Baba if she hadn't seen you in a while she would make you sit on her lap and then jump up, make you something to eat (and by that I mean a meal for 20) and then sit there and say EAT, EAT!
Will miss you dearly Baba.
Oh the things you remember. Whenever she had the "5" in her hand she would kick mom under table! LOL
One more memory popped up! I remember going fishing North of Blaine Lake then stopping in at Baba's and Gido's on the way home at like 10pm and trading fish for perogies!
