I grieve for what should have been but never was. I needed you and loved you despite all the unhappiness. May your soul find peace and joy now that you are joining daddy.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mavis's family. I was a friend who
spent time with Mavis as we both where members of Oldtimers Club of Saskatoon.

I have only met grandma Mavis twice with my fiancé Chris. We had such a great dinner together in 2016 late summer. She was very nice and friendly to me, which remembered me about my grandma.
It’s very sad to hear about her passing. Grandma Mavis was special to so many and will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace Grandma. We love you.

Grandma was the only grandparent that I really got to know. I'm greatly going to miss her sense of humor and our conversations. I have good memories of spending a few Christmas' out in Saskatoon and even a random motorcycle trip. My brother and I took a bus out to Saskatoon with her back in the 90s and I still remember bits of it, like the boat races but there were too many bugs. She's also the reason I reconnected with some of my cousins I haven't spoken to since I was a child.
I'm going to miss her so much. Rest in Peace Grandma.

Mavis was always good to me and welcomed me into the family early on. I am going to miss her sense of humour and her stories of the old days in Montreal. It would have been nice if she had still been able to travel there to see the changes, and what remains unchanged in the city. She definitely had a mind of her own and had no problem standing up for herself and that is what I will always admire most about her.
Rest peacefully, Dear Mavis

Heartfelt condolences to all of Mavis's family at this sad time. We met Mavis at Preston Park 2 and we treasured her friendship. Her last birthday 4 of us went to her suite and sang Happy Birthday to her. We shall miss Mavis, but realize she is pain free now.

Mavis was my mother in-law for almost 20 years. While we didnt agree on everything we did share some good times and some laughs. I can remember her contagious laugh and snort especially after a couple drinks lol. How she would always refer to Graeme as her baby boy. After my divorce we did lose touch but I always asked my boys how she was doing. I will always remember her and am so sorry that she has passed. People touch our lives in different ways and Mavis certainly touched mine and my boys. Rest in peace Mavis.

Dad was transferred from Montreal to Saskatoon with the CNR where we only lived for a few years until he passed in 1962. We moved back to Montreal and lived with Mum's mother and father while mum went to night school and worked at the Royal Victoria Hospital. After mum's father passed , Mum, her mother, my sister and I moved back to Saskatoon to start a new life. I was 5 and my sister 7years old. It took a lot of courage for mum to do all this on her own. It was tough going but she made it work. She worked full time at the U of S while my sister and I went to school.
As time went on , mum, joined and helped out in several senior clubs in saskatoon. She was also proud of her backyard , flowers and well manicured lawn and kept her house in top shape. When Cathy and I had finished school and moved out , mum still kept herself busy, and kept up with current affairs. I am going to miss our political arguments over the phone but she knew her stuff and I lost most of them. We tried to move her to Alberta to be closer but she would have not of that. Saskatoon was home and that Is where she was staying. Her last few years were a bit rough but she was stubborn and would never give up trying anything. She is at peace and pain free now. RIP mum. Love you forever.
