It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary, a beloved mother and grandmother. Mary passed away peacefully at Central Haven Care Home, where she has lived since suffering a stroke in 2002. Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy (Brian) of Calgary; her son, Joseph (Cynthia) of Saskatoon; and grandchildren, Ethan and Sophie of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by a number of nephews and nieces. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Earl Carruthers, her parents and 9 siblings. Mary grew up on a farm north of Langham. She lived her entire life in the Saskatoon area, working as a teacher in Rosthern before farming with Earl, where they were happiest raising and providing for their family. The family wishes to thank all those who have offered their assistance and friendship to Mary, and in particular wish to thank the staff at Central Haven Care Home for their care of Mary over the last 17 years. Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, the family is having a private service and interment.  Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcome.
