I didn’t know Mr Botting well, except with our get together at BVJ. But what I saw and the many stories I heard of him I could see he was a giant of a man in the eyes of many and a mentor to many on how to do business and the important things in life. I am very grateful for knowing him and a large thanks to him for my career. Again from stories I heard, if it wasn’t for Walter Westburne may never have existed. Thank you for being a great partener
Rest In Peace Mr Botting. You will be remembered for along time

It has been a privilege and honour to serve on various boards and committees in the construction industry with Walter since 1977, as well as our partnership involving Walter and Wendell with the sheet metal fabrication.
We offer our sincere condolences and wishes although our position away from Canada does not allow our joining in his celebration of life Sunday.

My sincerest condolences to the Botting family. I have fond memories as a child of the smiling man. My father, Terry Leask, worked at Botting many moons ago. I am sure Walter had a large part in developing my fathers amazing abilities as a plumbing and mechanical contractor. Sending my love from Los Cabos, Mexico. Warmest Regards, Chelsea Leask

“Well young man” were the words Walter spoke, as he frequently walked through my office doorway with that big smile, sat in the chair and proceeded give me his view on many things from business advice to politics to hockey. I always loved our talks. Walter’s guidance, support and, most of all, our friendship will always be cherished.
Sincere condolences to the Family.

Dear Dale and family,
Wanted to send my thoughts and prayers to your family on the passing of your Dad. He was a wonderful man and always treated me like his own when Greg played hockey with us!
At the end of the day all we have left is memories. I’m so grateful that I have wonderful memories of Mr. Botting.

I still remember Walter as a very nice man. During high school I had a part time job at Botting and Dent. I cleaned the office and on Sat i washed the trucks and put away fittings. He was always nice to me. Ther last time I saw him was when I was in univeersity. I was invited over to his place for a drink with him. He was interested in what i was doing and what I planned for the future. He encouraged me to finish my degree.
Most of all I remember his infectious laugh. Orest Sarabin
