One of the most memorable things I always loved about Uncle Wally was that there was never a filter (he always spoke what he felt). At the same time he always had a kind word for his family and closest friends. One time many, many years ago when I was younger I went with him to his acreage to feed the horses. After the work was done we sat on an old fallen tree when he turned to me and offered me a smoke and a beer. " Don't tell your mother" he says. Then we just laughed. Through all my years growing up Uncle Wally was always asking how I was doing and if I was okay. It wasn't until a few years ago when we saw each other again at moms 80th. I approached him and said "Hi Uncle, remember me?" Well he looks up and down at me and says, "Kimmy is that you"? after I answered him yes it is twice then he looks me square in the face and just like Uncle Wally with no filter added "Kimmy what happened? You're fat !" well you know I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. Yes uncle wally had a way with words. Uncle i am sorry I never got to see you as often as I should, just know that one day we will see each other again. See you on that old fallen tree, this time the smokes an beer are on me. Oh ya don't tell my mother. Love you uncle. Jay and Shannon from my family to yours we offer our condolences. Kim, Carly, Lexie, Khloe.
