I have worked with Josie for my just about 36 years, she was a leader, a mentor ,great roll model, like I had told her if I had wanted anybody to ever look after any one of my family members it would be her because that is exactly what she is an Angel. You will be missed my Great Friend, Love you XO Lori Klus

On February 1st, 2020 Jennifer, my wife, and I were discussing what we should prepare for dinner/supper and decided on baby back ribs. After explaining to Jennifer that my mom makes the most incredibly delicious baby back ribs I've ever tasted I did what I've done a million times before, called momma for some great cooking instruction and advice. She answered the phone and she sounded great, I was energized and relieved to hear how strong her voice was. I remember thinking to myself .....I'm so proud of you for being so strong through all this mom, your an inspiration to not just those who are diagnosed with late stage cancer but everyone... and then I thought...were going to beat this, she's winning, we have a shot and a window to really hit this cancer back while it's losing. ...She was on speaker phone, she asked how Jenn and myself were doing and strongly expresses how much she loves us both, she's glad we are happy and everything is going great. The thing about Josie is that she would never show sickness, pain, or suffering, she was a rock, THEE ROCK of our entire family, without question the strongest a person could be She took on The rolls of both grandma and grandpa after they passed so many years ago....she a provider, a best friend, a counselor, a mother, etc... to every single one of the members of the family , at least once. She did so without prejudice, without judging, and do you know what she wanted in return....nothing except she had to know we were okay and happy, no matter how sick she was, she was fine and not you nor I could ever tell if something was wrong.....After she gave me the recipe and instruction on how to prepare the ribs she said she tired, she said she a long busy day, and shes going to bed.......she said I love you son and I love you Jenn....we both said I love you back to her, I said goodnight mom, sweet dreams, if you need anything, call me I don't mind, I'll talk to you in the morning...she said forsure, goodnight.......and we both hung up the phone.... after we ate we crawled into bed and as i snuggled up to jenn I whispered in her ear...." I found something that can help her, im going to cure my momma" .......a few hours later I woke up in an,unusual ,very cold sweat, I felt strange but shrugged it off.....Not long after that I woke up to my phone ringing.....its was the news that she had past away..... before I put the phone down I noticed I had a notification on my phone, it was a message from my beautiful momma....the last message I'll ever get from her.....she wanted to make sure I heard her properly when she was giving me instructions on how to cook he ribs, of course.....she said...."when you buy a rack of ribs cut them separately put spices, garlic plus garlic salt oregano mix then in oven with a very little amount of water love you mom xo be safe" "350 for half hour, lid off for half hour yummy xo" .....I'd give anything to be able to say thank you......to say anything....... The moral of the story is.... That woman was an angel, she was something so special and so unique because all That woman ever did was be there for everybody else at any expense all the time, over and over and over again. And she never won anything in return but to just know that we were OK that we were fine and if we were content then she was content And that's all she ever wanted in life was for everyone around her just to be OK and be happy. Life can be so ironic because I still can't find any reason why that woman deserved to have her life taken from her so early when there's so many of us that take life for granted and don't deserve to be here..... The world is now left with a giant hole that 10 of us could not fill.... I miss you mom more than you could ever possibly imagine..... I can only hope And pray time will heal this excruciating, unbearable pain but I don't know how it is possible to heal a wound so deep....
