Patti, as she was known, was a happy, precocious child always getting into mischief and tormenting her sisters. She was the “apple of her father’s eye”, a tom-boy who played every sport in school and was always competitive. She attended Christ the King elementary school and the Convent of Sion High School where she made many lifelong friends. After high school she attended the U of S and then went on to work at CIBC. Her family spent many summers at Waskesiu, which is where she first met Gary Redl, her high school sweetheart. Gary and Pat were married in 1968. Together they had 3 children Scott, Barbara and Craig. Pat was always hard working, a trait she inherited form her parents. She worked along side Gary to establish Prairie Machine & Parts Manufacturing. Pat was very dedicated to her children and grandchildren and all their activities, especially their sporting events, including hockey, ringette and soccer. She ensured they had every opportunity, creating happy memories at Waskesiu and Emma Lake and on their acreage. She loved animals and always had family pets. Pat was a determined and strong willed individual, after she completed her degree in Journalism at Simon Fraser University, she went on to be the General Manager of Northwest Community Futures, a job she truly enjoyed. She retired in 2017 and enjoyed a peaceful and tranquil retirement. Left to Mourn are her 3 children, Scott (Laurie) Brandon, Tyler and Jenna, Barbara (Vital) Brett and Mackenzie, Craig (Pram) Taylor Anne, Connor and Caeden; her sisters, Joan (David) Brewer and Joyce (Kelly) Phillips; her 7 nieces and nephews; and her grand dogs Moka and Fritz. Pat was predeceased in death by her parents, Anne and Roy Pappenfus; her sister, Barbera; her daughter-in-law, Tatum Redl; her brother-in-law, Bob Messett; and her Special Aunt and Godmother, Emma Riou.
