Obituary of Wayne Sidney Deane
On Sunday, December 29, 2019, Wayne Deane, passed away peacefully in his sleep, following his loving wife Beverlee Deane, who had passed in the month prior.
Wayne was born on September 11, 1944 in Biggar, SK to Moses and Caroline Deane. He spent all his working life at Akzo Nobel, a vocation he was very proud of. On December 31, 1984, he married the love of his life, Beverlee Deane and spent the next 35 years together living in Saskatoon and Birsay. In their retirement years, Wayne and Bev enjoyed spending time in Yuma until his several health issues forced them to stay in province. Wayne had a lifelong love of planes and trains, and managed to fulfill a dream to obtain his pilots license. Wayne also enjoyed to tinker with many things, from cars to models, to household repairs. He was always there to lend a hand.
Wayne is preceded in death by his wife Beverlee, his brother Jim, and his parents Moses and Caroline. He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Kim) Hryciw, Toni Deane, Marliss Hartle, Nikki Bode, and Cameron Elliott. He will be remembered by his grandchildren Evan, Jasmine, Catlin, Taylor, Chantel, Kyle, Austin, Danika, Taran, Madylin, Jorja, and great-grandchildren, sisters Shirley Sarvas & Susan King as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The celebration of Wayne’s life will take place at Saskatoon Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:30p.m.
