Obituary of Grace Mary Boyle
It is with sadness the family announces the death of Grace Mary Boyle at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on Sunday, December 15, 2019.
She is survived by her son, Peter Boyle his wife Esme and their children, Sandra (Trevor) and their 2 children all of Calgary and Alistair (Amy) and their 2 children of Ottawa; her son-in-law Murray Taylor and his children Kirsty of Edmonton and Andrew of Saskatoon. Grace is also survived by her sister, Joy Northeast and family of Nottingham, England. Grace was predeceased by her husband Raymond and her daughter Dr. Carol Boyle.
Grace was born in Handsworth Wood Staffordshire, England on December 20, 1922. At the University of Birmingham, England she met her future husband, Raymond Boyle and they were married on August 25, 1945. As a young couple they moved to Glasgow, Scotland where Peter and Carol were born. In 1965 the family moved to Saskatoon where Ray accepted a position as Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and Grace pursued her career in teaching and cultivated her passion for painting. She was one of the founding members of both the Saskatoon Painters Club and the Open Door Society.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the charity of your choice.
