NATALIE ANN THRELFALL (NEE ROSS)

Natalie Threlfall, age 73 of Saskatoon, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 16, 2017 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. Natalie was predeceased by her husband, Gerry, who passed away in May of 2015. Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia on October 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Mireva (nee Baker) Ross. Upon graduating from Mount Allison University (Sackville, NB) with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics, she became a registered dietitian and moved out west settling in Regina, Saskatchewan. After several years working as a dietitian throughout Saskatchewan, she went on to be the Director of Food and Nutrition at Saskatoon City Hospital and then an instructor in the Food and Nutrition Department at SIAST Kelsey Campus. Natalie had a deep love for her family; many of the family’s favourite memories were of yearly trips with Natalie, Gerry and the boys back to Nova Scotia where they visited her sister and mother. She had a passion for animals and helping others and spent countless hours volunteering at various local organizations. In her retirement, Natalie enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the McClure United Church, the Saskatoon Genealogical Society and the Prairie Lily Society. Natalie’s memory will forever be cherished by her son Tom (Melissa) their children Jackson, Chace and Hayley; son Todd (Melissa) their children Avery, Sadie and Colby; her sister Maureen Ross of Middleton, NS as well as other family members and friends.
