Mrs Gradish was a very special teacher for me and one I kept in touch with after high school...art was a passion for the both of us and indeed she was inspirational to me and played a large part in how my life has unfolded... but it was her lovely effervescence, humour, intelligence, easy sophistication and curious nature that made just having time with her such a beautiful thing for me...I tried my best to see her throughout the years when I would return to Saskatoon simply because of how happy it made me to see her....I had hoped to see her last august ... much love to her family

Obviously Del (Mrs Gradish to me) was part of the Ramsay family since we moved two doors down in 1974. My parents, Lance and Sharon, have been friends ever since. They spoke regularly over hedges or strolling by. For my mom who passed last year, her relationship with Del was pretty cool and meaningful. Those two knew what was going on in the hood. I'm grateful that absolutely every time I saw Mom Gradish, there was a heartfelt hug and smile.

I remember Del as a skilled and joy-filled fellow artist. Can't remember when we last painted/sculpted together. But I do recall visiting her home and seeing the sculpted pieces she had made over the years. I hope you will be displaying her work at her memorial.

The Italian dinners prepared by Delores were amazing. And the patience exhibited while trying to teach a person how to draw was exemplary. A wonderful, beautiful lady that will be missed by all who knew her.
