Gayle was one of my surrogate moms growing up in Saskatoon. Despite the busy-ness of a household with 3 boys and one tormented sister, Gayle and Les always opened their home and their hearts to me.....(but not the grass, stay off the grass!) Even when I tore down the front fence in the driveway.....ooops sorry Les! I will always remember Gayle’s quick wit and a smile that lit up the room. She loved her family dearly and no sacrifice was too great. I will remember Gayle as a devoted mom and loving wife. They created a home for us kids that was warm and welcoming. Gayle has left this world a better place. I will keep her and the family in my heart and in my prayers.

Hello Les, We were very sad to hear of the passing of Gayle? Our prayers and condolences are with you and your family at this time. We were planning to be at the funeral, but the highways are all ice and snow this morning and our children don't want us to travel. We were looking forward to being there with you and your family.

Dear Les and family,
All of us 'old Sion girls' were saddened to hear of Gayle's passing. It seems like no time at all since we saw her the last week of September. We were so glad to have had lunch with her with her same old infectious laugh and irreverent humour. We can only imagine the pain you are all living through at the moment and want you to know that we send our love and big hugs to you and your family.
