Obituary of Lorne J Glover
LORNE GLOVER
1952 - 2019
It is with great sadness the family announces that following a lengthy illness Lorne passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2019 with family by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Judy of 44 years,son Ryan (Sara) and grandchildren James, Aiden and Brynne, siblings Wayne (Pat), Bruce (Janine), Dale, Janice (Paul) Halikowski, and brothers-in-law Craig (Marilyn) Schick, and Don Penry as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lorne was predeceased by his parents Robert and Evangeline Glover and his sister Sheila Penry. Lorne was born in Saskatoon and attended Churchill elementary school, Aden Bowman Collegiate and the University of Saskatchewan where he achieved a BSc in Economics. He started his career with DREE and moved on to the banking industry where he worked for many years prior to embarking on a different path becoming a partner and founder of Elite Motors. In 1975 Lorne married the love of his life Judy (nee Schick) and soon welcomed son Ryan into the family. Following retirement his focus was on family, his grandchildren, his dog Callie and the outdoors. Lorne enjoyed hockey, fishing, hunting and the years spent at the family cabin at Candle Lake. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren participating in their various activities. Lorne will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends and associates.
