Obituary of John William Storey

It is with great sadness and fond memories, that we announce the passing of John Storey at the age of 85, on Sept 12, 2019. At a young age John was sent to Saskatoon to attend the school for the deaf, where he met the love of his life Lydia Belisle. They got married and raised three children, celebrating 60 years of marriage, Sept 5, 2019.

Throughout their lives they travelled many places; Alaska, the Panama Canal Cruises, and from East coast to West coast. John was a watchmaker in Saskatoon fixing many old clocks, watches and jewelry for 55 years. John’s happiest times were spent watching his grandchildren playing hockey and soccer. He enjoyed many summers at the lake with his family camping, fishing, and sitting around the campfire.

John is survived by his loving wife Lydia, son Karl (Nicki) Amanda, Kyle, Brett, Kristen, great grandchildren Isabelle and Rayden, son Claude (Sherri), Megan, Ethan, daughter Rose (Lynn), Dexter, Zach.

The Mass of Christian Burial for John will be held Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Paul’s Co-Cathedral 720 Spadina Cres. East Saskatoon, SK S7K 3H2. If any donations would like to be made please see the Heart and Stroke foundation website.
