Funny how life kicks you in the butt sometimes! Was just checkig to see if some of the kids I once hung out with were enjoying their dreams. Read this, and memories started to fall from my eyes!
I used to be Gene's Bass player in a band called "THE BARDS of PASSION" !
Yup tacky name, but we sounded pretty good!
My belated condolences to the family.

Our deepest condolences to Erin and the family of Gene. We were by the sides of our fathers in RUH dealing with similar fears and sadness and somehow we drew strength from knowing we were doing this together. Erin, you were incredible with your dad... and so strong. We loved our short chats and I was so happy to hear when you and your Dad were able to share a laugh. Gene sounds like a wonderful man. I hope that our dads are somewhere together, maybe having a beer and listening to good music and enjoying good food. May you forever smile when you think of your Dad. Xoxo Lindsay, Shannon, Kirsten and Gaylene

Our sincere condolences to Gene's family. Gene taught our son how to play guitar at a young age of 5, his patience and encouragement meant a lot to us. Kevin retired from guitar lessons after a few months and picked it up again a few years later. Gene was there again with patience and loads of encouragement. He would always tell us "he's got it" and to this day, he does! Our daughter played drums for "Endangered Species" for a couple of years and once again, Gene was always encouraging and complimentary. We followed their gigs and enjoyed listening to Gene play and sing. We loved when you would come and jam in our basement. You always had plenty of stories (sometimes a little long, lol) but we enjoyed your friendship just the same. Rest in peace our friend.

Erin,
Our family is so sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. As our two Dad's were only beds apart,we got to know you and speak with you, as both our families were going through similar unfortunate circumstances. As you know we lost Stan as well and our family is heartbroken. Our family spoke of you often Erin, and shared your pain. You are a sweet woman and the love and care you gave to your Dad was evident. Lots of love to you during this very difficult time.

My sincere condolences go out to Gene's entire family, and all of his friends. Geno was a dear friend, and former bandmate of mine for many years. I'll hold those memories close forever. RIP Geno.

I knew Gene all my life. We developed a great friendship and although we had not seen each other for years we were always together in spirit, because he was a brother. We spoke on the telephone just recently. I loved to listen to Gene play music, he was a natural with the guitar. My heart is broken; I loved the guy. Sending sincere condolences to Gene's friends and family.
