Obituary of Natasha Pankoski
Natasha Pankoski (nee Krivuzoff), our Mom, and Granny passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, surrounded by her loved ones.
Natasha was born on August 12, 1935 to Tanya and John Krivuzoff. She grew up, went to school and had her children in Saskatoon. She enjoyed a long and fruitful career, and a happy marriage. She loved her Russian/Doukhobor heritage and celebrated it often through her love of cooking and baking. She shared this love of cooking and baking with her grandchildren.
Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all loved her and will miss her deeply. Some of her favorite memories were camping with her grandchildren. It was a special time for both the grandparents and the grandchildren.
In the most recent years, Natasha enjoyed her crafting – knitting, crochet, and sewing. She loved making porcelain dolls and sewn dolls, for herself and her family. She also volunteered at Village Green Furniture Thrift Shop by cleaning and repairing sewing machines, as well as other items, before putting them for sale.
Natasha was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 40 years, Victor; by her brother, Eugene (Jeannette) Krivuzoff; her mother, Tanya (Popoff) Krivuzoff; and father, John Krivuzoff.
She’s survived by her children, Chantal McIlveen (Richard), and Darrell Giesbrecht; her four grandchildren, Leah Stark, Kristah Boggs (Robert), Aaron Giesbrecht and Tara Giesbrecht; her great-grandchildren, Angel Johnson, Brittany Selk, Katelynne Boggs, Jolie Boggs, Martina Giesbrecht and Ashton Giesbrecht; as well as many other family members on the Krivuzoff and Pankoski side; and her beloved fur-baby, Keeva.
A memorial service will be held at Mayfair United Church at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 Coffee and tea will be served after the service.
The family has requested a private burial, to lay Natasha to rest beside her husband. Donations may be made in Natasha's memory to SCAT Street Cat Rescue Program.
