I had the opportunity to meet Doug through his daughters as a young 19 year old University student. He was kind, cheerful, respectful and always made me feel comfortable in his presence. He became my brother’s father-in-law and over the years we had the pleasure of meeting with him at family events and enjoying life (golf, playing cards, etc.). He was a remarkable example of someone from “The Greatest Generation”…unselfish, supportive of others and always with a smile and positive outlook…a wonderful man who will be affectionately remembered. Our sincere condolences.
