It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Lucas Daniel Bradford, A.K.A Dr. Lucas Freddy Frankenstien, on March 9, 2019. Lucas was a beloved son, brother, spouse, father, family member and friend. He will be greatly missed every day by Annie Bradford (mother), Shelby Ann Bradford (sister), Cole Michael Bradford (brother), Lexie Marie Craig (spouse), Charlie and Henry (step sons), aunts, grandparents, uncles, cousins, extended family members and many friends and acquaintances. He is predeceased by Jeff Bradford (father), Samson Moon (nephew), Cam Bradford (uncle), and Wayne and Jean Bradford (grandparents).
Lucas was born in Saskatoon to Annie and Jeff Bradford. He spent most of his life in this city. Although, he did live for some time in Victoria, B.C.
From a very early age his artist gift was unquestionable. He could always be found doodling on anything. His grade school art appeared in the Star Phoenix. This led to his comic strip “The Cobbs”. Eventually, he published comic books such as “Frankenmellon, Brain Pain, and Loser Daze. During his adult years, he attended Vancouver Island School of Art. Later moving to Toronto to work in an art Gallery. His amazing talent produced many wonderful pieces of unique statements.
In 2011, Lucas met the love of his life and her two beautiful boys, Charlie and Henry. It wasn’t long before Lexie Marie became Mrs. “Frankenstien”. Lucas loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He really enjoyed date nights with Lexie, video games and movies with the boys. One of his favourite was making Halloween costumes for Henry and practicing archery with Charlie. His passionate love for animals led to a “Dr. Doolittle” atmosphere around their home. He took great joy in sharing laughter and all the “remember whens” with his siblings, aunts, grandpa and mother.
We are having a casual come and go goodbye service. There will be an open mic for anyone to share their memories, stories or any thoughts about Lucas. This will be held on Friday March 15, 2019 between 1 – 3 pm at the WA Edwards Family Center. It is located on 333 4th Ave. North in Saskatoon. Free parking is available across the street at the Saskatoon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Saskatoon Crisis Intervention Center would be greatly appreciated.
