Obituary of Sheila Eileen Penry

Sheila Eileen (Glover) Penry, aged 65, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert with her family by her side.  She was born on October 10, 1953, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Robert and Evangeline (Anderson) Glover.  She married Donald Penry on December 20, 1971.  Together, they had 3 sons.  While working in several medical offices, she devoted herself to raising her children.  After suffering an aneurysm, she became a full time homemaker.  While enjoying simple things, her passion for reading, puzzles, and animals was known by all her family and friends.  She would always try to make other people smile and laugh by sharing jokes and stories.  Sheila was always honest, witty and never afraid to tell it like it was.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Donald; sons, Shawn (Christine), Aaron, and Joel (Kathy); brothers Wayne (Pat), Lorne (Judy), Bruce (Janine), Dale, and a sister, Janice (Paul); and many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends are invited to a gathering on Friday, February 8, from 2:00-4:30pm at Edwards Family Centre (333 – 4th Avenue North, Saskatoon). Courtesy parking is available across the street at Saskatoon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sheila’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
