Gerald, our oldest cousin after we lost of dear Marilynn, was a man of mystery to me. I knew of him more than I knew him because I was in Toronto for over thirty years and did not have the luck to connect with him very much. That said, I heard a lot about him and his wonderful family through my siblings and our awesome Auntie Ruby...and I knew he was a priceless part of the many communities of which he was a member through his long life.
I am sorry for our dear Emily and their children and grandchildren because Pa is no longer here in a physical way, but I am confident that his legacy is strong. My Mom, his Auntie Beth, always talked of him as being a very kind and generous nephew, shy but sincere ~ very loyal. I always trusted her.
RIP Gerald.

To Emily and all the loved ones of the Hardy and DelFari families, please know that we are sending you lots of love, hugs and prayers and wish we could be with you to offer our support at this overwhelming time. We are so sad to hear of Uncle Gerald’s passing. He was an amazing man and will be truly missed by so many people for a multitude of reasons because he positively impacted their lives (and definitely ours)!
For Katie and myself, the biggest loss will be felt this summer out at Atton’s Lake. Please know that although we are not physically with you, you are in our hearts and we are there in spirit and will continue to be after this immediate shock and busy-ness has subsided.
Love to all of you,
Karen and Katie ❤️
