Obituary of Donald Eion Cameron
Cameron, Donald
December 22, 1930 – January 9, 2019
Don passed away peacefully at his home in Stonebridge Crossing, where he and his wife Zella resided for the previous three years. Don is survived by his wife Zella, children Pat, Neil (Cindy), Sheila, and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his children, and grandchildren who loved him dearly. Don was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, the only child to Mable and Findlay Cameron. Among Don’s many accomplishments, one he took special pride in, was taking his law training extramurally resulting in him being called to the Bar. Don’s love of travel took him, and Zella to many interesting countries throughout the world. Another great passion he had was for skiing, where he took great pride in teaching his children and grandchildren to ski. He instilled this love in his children, spending many hours with them at Mystery Mountain, and the ski hill in Thompson that he was instrumental in helping develop. Later he enjoyed heading to the mountains with friends and family to enjoy time on the hill. Don was a life long Rotary member, and a member of the Legion in Moose Jaw for many years. A private gathering to fondly remember Don will be held this summer.
