A true trailblazer; a woman years ahead of societal norms, Buon has had a fulfilling and sometimes challenging life - brimming with unconditional love she had created for her family and those around her.
For a brief period of time, Buon was on the most wanted communist list during the Vietnam war, simply for existing as businesswoman, in an era when a woman’s purpose was to be the compliant housewife.
Due to her success in business, she was able to provide for her immediate and extended family and in 1985, she made the difficult decision to sacrifice her good fortune, in order to give her children the opportunity for better future in Canada.
Embracing the Buddhist philosophy of “paying kindness forward“ through her generous spirit and delicious cooking skills, this has earned her many friends and created countless joyous memories for families and friends.
