Charles Frederick Boskill (89 years) - Chuck - was called to his eternal rest on December 19, 2018. He was born on the family farm near Richard on May 15, 1929 and lived there until his family moved to North Battleford in 1939 where he took most of his schooling. He attended St Thomas College and began a long friendship with the Oblates of Mary Immaculate. At the college he was part of the cadet program and began a life-long love of flying and had his private pilot's license for many years. As a young man he was an avid hockey player, with the College, Prince Albert Mintos and the Saskatoon Royals. His early jobs included a brewery in Prince Albert and the CNR. His hockey took him to Saskatoon where he met an RN, Margaret Flynn, who would become his wife in 1953. They had three children together, Mary, Jane and John. He ran the dining room at the Lakeview at Waskesiu and in Saskatoon did sales at Caswell's Mens Wear. In sales he discovered his niche and joined Great West Life in 1955. He excelled in this career, for over 55 years serving hundreds of clients helping them provide for their families and their future. He was a man who enjoyed giving back and was a key member of the Bridge City Cosmopolitan Club, becoming the Western Canadian Governor, and active in the Knights of Columbus, becoming the Faithful Navigator of D'Arcy McGee Assembly.

Chuck was widowed in 1975. In 1979 he married Regina (Reg) Boechler (nee Lommer). They enjoyed almost 40 wonderful years together, travelling, socializing and giving back through many charities. He enjoyed singing in numerous choirs over the years, including the K of C men's choir at the Carol Festival. He loved golf, a sport he and Reg enjoyed together, and his annual entry at the Lobstick. Chuck and Reg treasured going to Cochin for a regular getaway where they hosted and visited with many family and friends, and spending time at Waskesiu. He was a man of great faith and active in the Catholic Church.

Chuck is survived by Reg, his three children Mary McGregor (Howard), Jane Oswald (Rob), John (Elaine), stepchildren Dwayne Boechler (Judy), Wendy Connolly (Garnet), Darcy Boechler, and Penny Seidel (Steven), 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, his sister Marg Piper and sister-in-law Ethel Boskill.

Chuck was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Boskill (Flynn), parents Frank and Eva (Lequiea) Boskill, siblings Philip Boskill, Elsie Seaman, Lawrence Boskill, Yvonne Lajeunesse, Irene Guminy, Vernon Boskill in infancy, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Reg and family would like to thank all who helped with his care, especially Doctors Berger and Stuglin and staff, and Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Family in Saskatoon, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018. There will be a time to pay respects and visitation to say farewell to Chuck between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. on December 27 at Holy Family Cathedral. For those so wishing donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to a charity of choice.
