Obituary of Agatha Asongu Atembe

Mami Agatha Atembe Asongu was born on the 1st of January 1958 to Nkemateh Martin Asongu and Ngopi Catherine in Mbeoh Lewoh, Fontem subdivision. She attended Catholic Mission Primary School Mbindia and later G.P.S Fojinmentaw from 1978 where she obtained the First School Living Certificate (FSLC).  She later got married to Pa Nkemtendong Gerald in 1967 and they lived in Njenacha, Fontem in lebialem Division. The union was blessed with 8 children three boys and five girls. Mama Agatha is also blessed with 15 grandchildren who are all living. Mama Agatha labor vigorously alongside her husband Pa Gerald of blessed memory to mold and cared for their children. Mama Agatha popularly called Ndoh Ga (Sister Ga) was sociable and loving to her children, relatives, siblings, and friends. She showed so much love to anyone that came around her and had a charming smile that was contagious. 

In 2016, Mama decided to visit one of her daughters in Canada to spend some quality time with her grandkids. Her stay in Canada was enjoyable, she made lots of friends, participated in lots of community programs and activities. She was not just a grandmother but a friend to her grandkids as they will often describe.  While in Canada, in August 2018, she visited Gatineau, Quebec where she made lots of friends.

The Funeral Mass for Agatha will be held Saturday December 22, 2018 at St. Peter the Apostle Church.
